ID Requirements
All signers must present a current acceptable form of ID. If the ID is expired, it must have been issued in the past 5 years.

- California driver’s license or non-driver’s ID issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles
- U.S. Passport
- California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) identification card for an inmate in custody in an institution in the state of California correctional system
- Any form of ID issued by a sheriff’s department for a prisoner in custody in a county jail or local detention facility.
Additional acceptable ID provided it includes a photograph, signature, serial or identifying number and physical description of the bearer.

- Driver’s license or non-driver’s ID issued by another U.S. state
- Driver’s license issued by Mexico or Canada
- Employee ID card issued by an agency or office of the state of California or any city, county or city and county within the state
Notary services will NOT be performed if ID is not acceptable and a $25 travel fee will be due.
